Where can i purchase a solo?
So you need a solo.
The first thing that you need to do is decide what TYPE of slo you want to play. Make sure you consider what type of event you will be playing for. Are you performing for a festival? A wedding? A school event? Make sure your music is appropriate for the event (i.e. it's probably not a good idea to play Justin Beiber's latest hit at a festival ;)
Do you want piano accompaniment?
Or maybe you want to play along with an MP3 or CD?
Or maybe you're a minimalist and want to play an
unaccompanied solo.
After you've decided what TYPE of solo you want to play, you should consider where you are going to get your solo. There's only ONE rule: you need actual sheet music.
You can purchase your own sheet music from various online vendors such as SheetMusicPlus.com or Amazon.
You can also visit a local music store.
Ms. Buresch also has a variety of sheet music that you can rummage through.
It is highly recommended that music purchased from websites such as 8Notes.com or MusicScore.com be approved before purchasing.
