Hello IMA Family!
I'm so excited to welcome you all back tomorrow for an AWESOME 2018 Spring Semester! Woot!
In February, your students has the option of performing their solo piece for a judge to receive comments from a professional musician. Here is some information from Mr. Klotzle (Burbank HS IMA Director):
"Solo and Ensemble Festival is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn a solo piece of music, perform with an accompanist, and receive comments from a professional. The musical growth derived from preparing and participating in this event is astounding! Each participant will receive written comments from the adjudicator and a rating. Students do not compete against other students."
If you are interested in participating in Solo and Ensemble it is on Feb. 17th. This is a great opportunity to get feedback from a judge on your solo for your March 10th concert! I will send home literature on this opportunity on Monday/Tuesday. This information has also been uploaded to the website for your reference.
Please let me know if you have any questions about Solo and Ensemble!
No instruments on Monday, Jan. 8th!
Thank you!
